R U Commuting promotes Healthy Transport to local communities across Queensland, NSW, ACT and Northern Territory.
R U Commuting aims to increase the use of cycling for everyday transport and to promote public awareness about cycling and walking as an activity that has many economic, health and environmental benefits.
Healthy travel is an easy and accessible way for people to include physical activity in daily lives. The most common forms of healthy travel are walking and cycling – the easiest approach to travelling short distances like commuting to work or school.
R U Commuting is currently launching various programs across Queensland which will target towards increasing the number of people choosing to use Healthy Transport.
These programs include Fit2BKids School Program, Pink Pedal Power (Women’s only Events and Workshops) and Smart Commuting.
These programs engage with schools, workplaces and women to break down the barriers to get more people cycling and walking in their community.
R U Commuting aims to communicate this message to employees, employers, schools, government agencies and communities and to directly engage with all shareholders in evaluating what benefits can be gained from an improved network of shared bike lanes and end of trip facilities.
R U Commuting is specialised in School/workplace healthy travel plans, lobbying for end of trip facilities, conducting school/workplace cycling skills sessions and cycling events.
